The Spanish tax authorities have again created a bonus of 95 million euros as part of the “Special Increase Inspection Plan” for 2019.

Target: 150 billion income tax and IVA
The amount of money rewarded by the Spanish tax authorities is the same as in 2018, but in return they are asking more from inspections: the goal is at least 150.52 billion euros income tax and VAT. Last year that was 90.8 billion ‘only’ for VAT.
An agreement on this bonus amount must still be reached with the trade unions, but it is expected that this will be reached before July 1st.

Bonus amount equal to 2018
The Plan was first activated in 2014 after the income from the fight against fraud had fallen in 2013. In the first year, 22.4 million in bonuses were made available, in 2015 45 million, in 2016 47 million and in 2017 60 million euros. This year for the first time the amount is not going up.
